Barnes & Noble tries to make more popular its tablet series, by signing a Nook video deal with the two major brands. The main purpose is to bring their glorious libraries of video content to Barnes & Nook owners.

Barnes & Noble is determined to be more attractive than Amazon, although some analysts doubt it would manage thanks to this deal. The bookseller, which tried its luck on tablets' world, desperately needs to revamp the current Kindle Fire tablets, to be something different and better than rival Amazon, mainly when it comes for digital media sales. According to the last deal, any customer can purchase from Nook video store, which supports the movie industry’s standard format UltraViolet.
In practice, Barnes & Noble can sell movies and TV shows produced by NBCUniversal and Fox and as consequence sales on Nook will grow, but there is one little mystery: are consumers ready to purchase videos through Nook store?
